- On recommendation from EBRMC Riah, Cannery Row (John Steinbeck) - Promised I'll pick this up over the weekend. I mean to do it, too. I'm excited to start this book. East of Eden is my favorite Steinbeck so far.
- From Isaac Jr, Play The Piano Drunk Like A Percussion Instrument Until The Fingers Begin To Bleed A Bit (Bukowski, late 70s)
- Tommy Guerrero's new record... release party tonight @ 12 Galaxies!
- On loan from my Grandma's library, Don Quixote (Cervantes) - Actually started reading this during Wednesday's shoot with Quinne. Looking forward to getting into the story.
- Re-getting-into Invisible Man (Ellison) - though most of my friends who have borrowed this book did not like it, it's still perhaps in the top 3 of the best books I've ever read. It was assigned during my Junior year of high school AP English, but I actually read it again immediately outside of class. It's amazing.
- Holga medium format madness. I might be late on the bandwagon here, but hey, I had to stop dreaming in Large Format and come back to reality. Holgas are just cheaper and more accessible. Isaac Jr has a great Yashica but as with many of those, age & design has caused shutter problems. As in, the shutter doesn't open. Not good when you have to develop a whole roll of 120 with or without prints. He is bummed too, just because it's such a rad camera and works really well under normal circumstances.
